Snorkeling with Catalina Scuba Luv
One of the best things about Catalina’s marine environment is its accessibility. Practically any place with water is a great place to jump in and explore - Snorkeling is one the best ways to do so.
Like everything at Scuba Luv, there are many options when it comes to your experience:
Guided Snorkeling Tour at Lover's Cove: $45.00*
Allow one of our trained PADI Professionals to show you the ins and outs of snorkeling, then head down to the Cove and do it.
Lovers Cove is a crescent shaped bay just on the outside of town. It is filled with large and friendly fish as well as a very healthy kelp forest. It is the ideal place for a first time snorkeler, someone interested in learning to free dive, or an experienced skin diver.
This experience takes approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes and all of the necessary gear is included. If you really like snorkeling and want to continue after the time has elapsed you can take the gear for the rest of the day and explore on your own.
All Day Snorkeling Trip on King Neptune Dive Boat: $67.00
If you prefer a longer experience you are welcome to jump aboard the King Neptune dive boat for an all-day snorkel extravaganza. If you choose to do so you can get out of the cove or the dive park and explore one of the many other sites around beautiful Santa Catalina Island. There is no better way to experience Catalina than aboard the luxurious and spacious King Neptune dive boat. With 56 miles of coastline and more than 150 sites, the possibilities are endless.
The boat is equipped with a full-galley, lots of sun protection, as well as two functional heads (toilets). Snorkelers get a SCUBA level briefing and are supervised by the Divemaster aboard the boat.
Boat check-in is at 8:15 a.m. and the charter departs at 9 a.m. Typically we return to Avalon between 4 and 6 p.m. Charter price includes breakfast, lunch and a light snack at the end of the day. Snorkel equipment is an additional charge of $15.00.
Snorkel Package Rental: $15.00
Grab your gear and go. Our staff is very knowledgeable about the island and happy to help you figure out where are the best places to snorkel. Gear package includes mask, snorkel and fins. Wetsuits are also available.
Rentals are good for 24 hours. Multiple day discounts are also available.
